A fragmental extension of the red brick wall

This shelf began as an exploration of the brick: its proportions, its mortar, and its position in architectural constructions. From these familiar elements, a single ceramic piece emerged that, while bearing the imprint of its construction, establishes itself as a distinct object. When hung on the wall, it occupies a space between architecture and furniture, forming part of the wall’s structure while projecting itself into the room as a functional surface. Nevertheless, its true purpose lies in the dialogue it establishes between the architectural and the domestic, tradition and reinterpretation, and the ordinary and the sculptural.
